Abstract
The sole purpose of this thesis is to address my current experiences with language barriers and to provide recommendations that could be implemented. I will provide examples of my personal and work-related encounters. There are numerous sources that are available that the city could exploit to better serve the growing immigration population that it houses. We need to do more to bridge the language barrier gap that exists between the City of Roanoke and the immigrant population.
