Individual Presentation or Panel Title

Gender and Minority Discrimination in Training and Development

Abstract

Title VII of the Civil Rights Act is a legislation passed in 1964 and amended in 1991 prohibiting employers from excluding women and minorities, from training programs. Despite, the passing of this act women and minorities are continually being excluded from training programs necessary for promotions. The finding of an unsupportive work environment and workplace discrimination leads to high quit rates, and legal actions. This paper looks into the literature review of women and minority development and will suggest training methods to ensure equal training for all employees during training.
