Description
This panel brings together three Studio Art major seniors, Vanna Schickling, Zaria Studevant, and Andrea Gomez Munza, whose practices span photography, sculpture, and mixed media. Working across different materials and approaches, they explore themes including the female body, capitalism, memories, family, and immigration. Through their projects, they investigate the connections between personal experiences, larger social contexts, and visual art. This panel is an opportunity for these students to share their research and processes with the Hollins community ahead of the Senior Majors Exhibition at the Eleanor D. Wilson Museum, opening on April 30th. During the panel, they will share their artwork, process, challenges, and inspirations, and answer questions. This panel highlights the power of visual art and the diversity of practices among the emerging artists.
