Abstract

Examines the use of absurdity in literature written by Arab women, specifically Beirut Fragments by Jean Said Makdisi, Sharon and My Mother-in-Law by Suad Amiry, and the short story "Thirty-One Beautiful Green Trees," by Salwa Bakr.
