Abstract
We have all been living in an alternate world for nearly a year now. This is my personal memoir of the emergence of the novel COVID-19 global pandemic. My memories are supported by books that I have read in 2020 and by my own research. My desired MALS degree will be one that is concentrated in the humanities. The humanities include the study of literature, philosophy, history, human geography, anthropology, law, politics, religion, and art. All these subjects constitute a major portion of this paper. This is a memoir of human lives being turned upside down by nature and the struggle to adapt.
