Description

As all Hollins veterans know, nothing compares to a party at Amanda Cockrell's house and in her splendid gardens. Bid on this offer to hold your own party of six at her gorgeous residence! Your choice of menu and date. Amanda is an excellent cook. However, this dinner is redeemable when a COVID-19 vaccine is developed, with luck by 2021. So be aware that you are buying a future pig in an undated poke and bid accordingly!

Amanda Cockrell is the founding and former director of the Hollins Children’s Literature Graduate Programs, and currently managing editor of the English department’s literary journal, The Hollins Critic. Before retiring, she also taught creative writing and children’s literature in the university’s Master of Arts in Liberal Studies and Creative Writing MFA programs. Her newest books are the young adult novel What We Keep Is Not Always What Will Stay (Flux 2011) and the historical novel The Wall at the Edge of the World (Canelo 2020). http://www.amandacockrell.com/.
