Description

Year: 1st Year MD-PhD candidate

Institution: University of Miami Miller School of Medicine

Clinical and research interests: Neurology, biochemical genetics, translational medicine. A particular interest in understanding the pathophysiology of rare, genetic, neurodegenerative disorders to develop therapeutics and treatment options for patients.

Hobbies: Going to the dog friendly beaches to get much needed pup time, martial arts, creative writing, and exploring the new experience of living in Miami for the first time!

Graduating from Hollins University in 2019 and spending three years as post-baccalaureate Fellow in the National Human Genome Research Institute at the National Institutes of Health, I am happy to answer any questions about my path to an MD/PhD (MSTP) Program and how I navigated the application process. I welcome any questions about how a liberal arts education can be a great strength on an application and the transition back to school after several gap years. I'm happy to answer any general questions as well and am always available for follow-up questions via email.
