South Korean Perceptions of Black People
Abstract
How do South Koreans perceive black people through South Korean media? My format will be a created website. My goal is to conduct research on the racial commentary by South Korean pop idols as well as regular citizens. I will find facts through Internet posts, journal articles, and interviews that explore how South Koreans perceive black people. I will then post all of the information I find and promote the website to receive outside responses on the question. Online users will be able to read and respond to the information I have posted I will use the information I receive to better understand how South Koreans perceive black people. My website will be an open and constructive platform on which to share opinions and experiences and to discuss the articles I analyze. Within my results I will conclude with what some of South Koreans’ perceptions of black people are and why they may have these perceptions. I hope this information can begin to change the way people within the black community are perceived internationally.
