2022 Symposium: Own and Other Voices

The 1st biennial kidlit@hollins Symposium, co-chaired by Dhonielle Clayton and Lisa Rowe Fraustino, will focus on the theme of “Own and Other Voices.”

Keynoters include:

  • Grace Lin, author and illustrator of children’s books that have been awarded honors for the Newbery, Caldecott, Geisel, and National Book Award
  • Philip Deloria, Professor of History at Harvard University and author of Playing Indian
  • Sara Lissa Paulson, New York City school librarian, translator, and scholar of international children’s books in translation
